Opinion: To fully understand 'A Christmas Carol,' read the tale

Charles Dickens loved to see his works enacted on stage. This was especially true of “A Christmas Carol,” the classic tale of miser Ebenezer Scrooge haunted into generosity and holiday cheer.

And just as Dickens loved to see his works on stage, he would have loved even more seeing his works on the screen.
