The good doctor recognized on national TV
Dr. Tony Abood got a shout-out the other day on national television. Loni Love, a native Detroiter who is a co-host on the talk show “The Real” (1 p.m. weekdays on Fox 2), took a moment to wish her mom a happy birthday. She said all her mom wanted her to do was shout out her doctor, Tony Abood. “Dr. Tony, thank you for all that you do for my mom,” Lonnie announced, “you and your wife, Cherokee.” Actually, Tony’s wife’s name is Charity, but it was all good intentions and happily received. The segment ended with co-host Adrienne Houghton commenting, “Is that what we’re going to be asking for when we’re older? Make sure you shout out the man that’s keeping me alive?”
