Dynamic duo creates House of Fine Gold jewelry line
The beautiful singer/actress Christina Milian was in town Wednesday promoting the jewelry collection she owns with celebrity jewelry designer George Khalife (George the Jeweler) of Detroit. We caught up with the two of them at Social Kitchen & Bar in Birmingham for late breakfast and early cocktails. “I praise social media,” says George, talking about how the two of them met. “It gave me a sister.” After meeting through social media, George designed jewelry pieces for Christina’s family, and they became close friends and then business partners. The jewelry collection, called The House of Fine Gold, is comprised of delicate rose, white and yellow gold pieces. Visit houseoffinegold.com for details.

Brody Jenner improvises for glassware
Brody Jenner showed up at SCL Royal Oak on Friday to celebrate the posh club’s one-year anniversary as a featured deejay (deejays Captn20 and Vinsane also performed). Owner Aaron F. Belen started the evening with an intimate dinner and cocktails with the boys downstairs at Bistro 82. When the crew joined the filled-to-capacity crowd upstairs at the club, the party was on. Folks were impressed at how cool and regular Brody appeared — pretty creative, too. When they ran out of glasses in the VIP/DJ booth area, Brody asked a nearby attractive partygoer if he could use her boot as a vessel. Well, of course she agreed, and he emptied his bottle of beer into her shoe and took a big gulp. Just like any regular guy would do, right?
