Detroit reality star preps for the boxing ring

We chatted up reality star Nicole “Hoopz” Alexander, who is in Detroit training for her upcoming female celebrity boxing match with TV, tabloid and adult film star Farrah Abraham. Hoopz, a native Detroiter who found fame on reality shows "Flava of Love" and "I Love Money," says she’s participating in the match to raise awareness about bullying. An athletic, self-admitted tomboy, Alexander said she's never boxed before, but said she's confident of a victory because of her competitive nature teamed with the intense training she’s receiving from local boxer Willie Fortune of Jabs Gym. “I’ve had promoters asking me to do this for years,” Hoopz said. “Now it feels right. I’m ready to take care of business.” The battle, a three-round boxing match, will be  Nov. 10 at the Showboat Atlantic City Hotel in New Jersey.
