Jacques: College degree in one year and for just $7,000? It’s possible

Christina Dixon, 62, has always wanted to get her bachelor’s degree. Now the Detroit resident thinks this is the perfect time to do it, thanks to a new program in the city called Degree Forward.

The innovative college attainment initiative to be announced Thursday makes it possible for adults such as Dixon to get a degree in one year, and for just $7,000.
