Gardening: Don't throw away old seeds, try them out instead

I began growing plants from seed several decades ago, and I find it almost impossible to toss out leftover seeds. So, it’s not surprising that when cleaning out a storage unit I rented when I moved into my condo, I found a large plastic container filled with seed packets, some of which  have never been opened and are decades old.
