Editor’s Note: Cars are the stars at this auto show

I’m a truck guy, and would normally spend my days at the auto show drooling over the latest pickups. And there are some dandies on the floor this year, including the all-aluminum F-150 and the Chevy Colorado, to name two.

But what’s turning my head this week are cars.

Maybe it was the lighting — or the sharp black dresses on the models — but the Audi sedans jumped off the floor, particularly the new A-3.

The updated Dodge Charger is also smoking hot. And Ford’s GT Supercar looks like it would be just the thing to ease a middle-age crisis.

You could say the same for the Camaro. Chevy keeps tweaking the old favorite toward perfection.

I don’t really see myself bidding trucks goodbye. But this show is a candy shop. And this year the cars are looking particularly sweet.
