Sponsor Story: LuminoCITY Lights Up the NAIAS
Each January, the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) draws more than 800,000 visitors from around the world to downtown Detroit to celebrate all the amazing technology, innovation and design the city has to offer. While the autos certainly take center stage, NAIAS has truly become a platform for collaboration, celebration, and creating new events and experiences downtown.
In order to continue the festivities outside of Cobo Center and all winter long, Bedrock, Quicken Loans, and DTE Energy have partnered with L.A.-based design firm Stereobot to bring LuminoCITY, a large-scale, interactive art installation, to downtown Detroit.
LuminoCITY consists of 16 big, bold and colorful illuminated structures that twist and flow to create a curated light show. The installations light up the path from Cobo to the rest of downtown Detroit while bringing together art, technology, and design to create an unforgettable experience downtown.
Click here for a map to see where you can find the LuminoCITY installations. Wherever you see LuminoCITY sculptures, you’ll also find public spaces, shops, restaurants, cultural institutions, galleries and events to discover and explore such as Winter Blast, Dine Drink Detroit, and more.
