Salt Lake City — Pistons center Andre Drummond missed the second half of the Pistons game against the Utah Jazz while undergoing on-site concussion protocol.

The Pistons said he would not return to the game.

Drummond was hit twice in the head during the first half but was only taken out because he was in foul trouble. Things seemed normal at halftime.

Drummond came out onto the court about eight minutes before the beginning of the second half. He shot a few lazy layups and then was taken into the dressing room while teammates gathered to take the court.

He was replaced by Joel Anthony.
