East Lansing — Claudia Reid had 11 points and made some big plays during a 9-0 third-quarter run to lead DeWitt to a 44-36 victory over Saginaw Heritage Friday afternoon in a Class A state semifinal game at the Breslin Center.

DeWitt (25-1) led the rest of the way, making 13-of-17 free throws during the fourth quarter to earn its first state championship game appearance since 1977 when it won the Class C title. DeWitt will play in the Class A title game Saturday at noon.
