Monday's roundup: W.L. Northern claims shutout win in girls soccer

Devyn Brough scored in the 18th minute to lift Walled Lake Northern to a 1-0 victory over Plymouth High Monday in a Kensington Lakes Activities Association crossover girls soccer match.

Brough took a through ball inside the 18-yard box and one-timed it past the Plymouth goalkeeper. Goalkeeper Hayden Cesarz stopped nine shots to preserve the shutout.

Northern is 3-0. Plymouth falls to 0-2.

Bloomfield Hills 4, Waterford Kettering 0: Delaney Horton, Karmyn Carter, Carlyn Sykes and Sawyer Burman all scored for Bloomfield Hills (1-0).

New Baltimore Anchor Bay 1, Grosse Pointe North 0: Rachel Russo scored with less than 10 minutes before the half and Emily Zweng made two saves for Anchor Bay (1-0). Grosse Pointe North falls to 0-1.
