Michigan Tech loses in OT in NCAA hockey regional

St. Cloud State's Judd Peterson scored 8:11 into overtime, ending Michigan Tech's NCAA Tournament run in a 3-2 loss Friday during a West Regional hockey semifinal in Fargo, N.D.

St. Cloud State (20-18-1) plays North Dakota (28-9-3) in the regional final today at 9 p.m.

Tech (29-10-2) was leading 2-1 when Jonny Brodzinski scored with 38 seconds left in regulation as St. Cloud State pulled its goalie for an extra attacker, sending the game into overtime.

Hobey Baker finalist Tanner Kero and C.J. Eick scored Tech's goals. Kalle Kossila (power play) accounted for St. Cloud State's other goal.
