Saturday's roundup: Cranbrook takes pair on diamond

Josh Yellen had the game-winning single in Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook-Kingwood's 6-5 win over Plymouth Salem while Nolan Rogow rapped two hits in the school's 11-7 victory over Bloomfield Hills Saturday. The wins brought Cranbrook-Kingswood's record to 4-3.

Against Salem, Mark Thelen struck out two in six inning pitched to earn the win while Ethan Scherrer picked up the win against Bloomfield Hills.

Farmington 8, Allen Park Cabrini 4: Alex Manasa had pinch-hit grand slam for Farmington.

Farmington 3, Carleton Airport 1: Evan Satterfield, Elliott Edsell, Darren Strickland and Alex Manasa tossed a combined no-hitter for Farmington (4-2).

Grosse Pointe Woods University Liggett 2, Mount Pleasant 1 (8 inn.): Nick Azar had walk-off double for game-winning run in the eighth inning for Liggett (3-1).

Pontiac Notre Dame 3-5, Rochester Stoney Creek 4-3: In the first game, Eric Gilgendach tossed five inning for the win for Stoney Creek. In the nightcap, Mark Marrone struck out nine over 4.1 innings for the win while Joey Vyskocil and Luke Schilling.

Rochester 20, Plymouth Salem 8: Jake Stout had a grand slam and Drew Loftus and Tyler Frankhouse each had three hits and three RBIs for Rochester (5-1). Salem is 4-2.
