ESPN's Britt McHenry returned from her one-week suspension Thursday and she will work this weekend at an event to be determined, according to a report.
ESPN senior coordinating producer Seth Markman told Richard Deitsch of Sports Illustrated that McHenry will return to her role as a sideline reporter for NFL games this coming season. Next week, she will be in St. Louis to report on the Rams during the NFL draft.
McHenry made national headlines last week for a viral video that showed her being belligerent and insulting toward a towing company worker.
"It wouldn't shock me if some people react negatively (toward McHenry's return)," Markman told Deitsch. "My head hasn't been buried in the sand. I've read a lot on this, and more than anything, she knows she made a mistake. She's owned up to it. I think she is just really anxious to get back to work."
