Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh, who clearly is making recruiting a top priority, reportedly has offered a scholarship to a Florida eighth-grader.
Blake Hinson, a 6-foot-5, 205-pounder who caught 24 passes for Warner Christian in South Daytona last season, has been offered a scholarship by Michigan, according to a story this week in the Daytona Beach (Fla.) News-Journal.
Hinson also has offers from Florida State and Miami. The University of Miami (Fla.), has made offers to three eighth graders, according to an NBCSports.com report.
Hinson averaged 22.5 points and 9.1 rebounds for his team last season and is spending the summer playing AAU basketball, according to the News-Journal.
His older brother, Evan Hinson, a 6-5, 220-pound tight end in the 2016 recruiting class, has committed to Miami but said he also has an offer from Michigan.
