Red Wings top prospect Dylan Larkin joins 39 players who have been invited to the U.S. National Junior Evaluation Camp in Lake Placid, New York, this August.
Larkin, 18, who starred as a freshman at the University of Michigan this season, played with the AHL Grand Rapids Griffins in the playoffs after signing a three-year entry-level contract with the Red Wings. The Waterford Township native played on the bronze-medal U.S. team at this year's World Championships and was a member of this year's U.S. team that finished fifth at World Junior Championships.
Also invited to the Aug. 1-8 camp are Sault Ste. Marie goalie Brandon Halverson (Traverse City), Michigan defenseman Zach Werenski (Grosse Pointe Woods, Mich.) and Youngstown Phantoms left wing Kyle Connor.
