Detroit City FC enters playoffs on winning note

Goalkeeper Alex Bouillennec recorded nine saves for Detroit (8-2-2), which as the No. 2 seed plays No. 3 AFC Cleveland at 3 p.m. Friday in the NPSL Midwest semifinals in Madison, Wisc.

The winner advances to the final 3 p.m. Saturday. No. 1 seed Madison 56ers play a yet-to-be-determined opponent in the other semifinal at 7 Friday.

Detroit will prepare for the postseason with a friendly 7:30 p.m. Wednesday against the Windsor Stars at Cass Tech. The Stars are a semi-professional team that plays in League1 Ontario.
