Detroit ranks eighth among cities with three or more sports teams for its uniforms.
UniWatch, a blog run by Paul Lukas, published the survey on ESPN.com.
The Tigers and Red Wings scored the highest, nine on a scale of 10. The Pistons were at 6.5 and the Lions at 3. The Lions got marked down because of the black trim on their uniforms, and because of Ford Field’s dome, though there was no explanation why that was a consideration. It also was mentioned only the Pistons have alternate uniforms.
Boston ranked first, followed by Pittsburgh and Chicago.
