Wings rally but lose exhibition opener in OT

In Chicago, the Red Wings lost 5-4 in overtime in the exhibition opener Tuesday.

Anthony Mantha, Riley Sheahan, Teemu Pulkkinen and Luke Glendening (power play) scored for the Red Wings.

Andy Miele (Grosse Pointe) and Nathan Paetsch each had two assits.

The Red Wings rallied from a 4-1 third period deficit with Glendening's goal with 2:05 left in regulation tying the game.

Kyle Baun, Jonathan Toews, Teuvo Teravainen, Ryan Garbutt and Trevor Daley scored for Chicago.

Daley's three-on-three goal 1:40 into overtime won it.

Jimmy Howard stopped 18 of 21 shots, while Tom McCollum stopped 14 of 16.
