Globetrotters bench water bucket skit for Flint show

The Detroit News
Fans are sure to enjoy Monday's show, even without a water bucket skit.

The Harlem Globetrotters will have a show in Flint on Monday, and while there is sure to be plenty of hijinks and trick shots, there will be no water bucket skit.

“Out of respect for Flint residents affected by the recent water crisis, the Globetrotters will remove their famous water bucket skit from the show,” the team said in a statement.

Monday’s show will be at the Dort Federal Event Center at 7 p.m.

The Globetrotters, in partnership with World Vision, are donating 90 tickets to Joy Tabernacle Church. The church “will distribute the tickets to volunteers and local families in need of a smile,” the Globetrotters said.

Tickets to the show can be purchased here through Ticketmaster.
