Veteran NFL analyst Tom Jackson is not likely to return to ESPN’s “Sunday NFL Countdown,” according to a report in the New York Daily News.
“He’s still weighing his options,” an NFL TV source told the Daily News. “This will be Tommy’s call. It’s up to him. Tommy’s driving the train on this one. The situation is fluid.”
Jackson, 65, has been a staple of ESPN’s studio NFL coverage with Chris Berman. He is known for his level-headed analysis.
He joined ESPN in 1987 following a 14-year NFL career as a linebacker with the Denver Broncos that included three Pro Bowl appearances from 1977-79.
