Michigan Olympians take the field Sunday

Desi Linden’s chance is finally here.
Linden may be the best U.S. women’s marathoner on the road, and she has a Sunday date on the streets of Rio.
The curtain goes up at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, and she figures to be among the contenders.
Here’s a look at the Michigan contingent in action (Team USA unless noted):
* Aron Baynes (Pistons, Australia): Basketball, vs. Venezuela, 6 p.m.
* Andy Bisek (Northern Michigan): Wrestling, Greco-Roman 75 kg, 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
* Alisha Glass (Leland): Women’s volleyball vs. China, 4:05 p.m.
* Draymond Green (Saginaw, Michigan State): Basketball vs. France, 1:15 p.m.
* Bora Gulari (Detroit): Sailing, mixed Nacra 17 races, 12:05 p.m.
* Desi Linden (Washington Township): Track, women’s marathon, 8:30 a.m.
* Sam Mikulak (Michigan): Gymnastics, floor exercise final, 1 p.m.
* Sarah Robles (Northern Michigan): Weightlifting, over 75 kg, 9 a.m., 2:30 p.m.
* Nicole Sifuentes (Plymouth, University of Michigan, Canada): Track, women’s 1,500 semifinal, 8:30 p.m.
