Michigan on Wednesday will formally announce the International Champions Cup soccer match that will be played this summer at Michigan Stadium.
Premier League rivals Liverpool and Manchester United reportedly will play July 28 at Michigan Stadium as part of the preseason International Champions Cup, according to a recent report in The Liverpool Echo.
The International Champions Cup is an annual soccer Tournament with events in the U.S., Europe and Singapore. This year 18 clubs will play 27 matches.
This will be the second trip to Michigan Stadium for Manchester United which defeated Real Madrid, 3-1, in 2014 and set a U.S. soccer attendance record of 109,316. Chelsea and Real Madrid played at Michigan Stadium in 2016 and drew more than 105,000.
