Kyle Breitmeyer's converted penalty kick and an Azaad Liadi goal from the run of play lifted AFC Ann Arbor to a 2-1 victory over Oakland County Football Club on Monday in the second leg of the Michigan Milk Cup at Skyline High School.
The Mighty Oak advance to the semifinal round on a 4-1 aggregate having defeated OCFC 2-0 in Clawson in the first leg May 18. Kaveon Dux scored on a PK for OCFC in the 69th minute.
AFC Ann Arbor joins fellow National Premier Soccer League clubs Kalamazoo FC and Grand Rapids FC along with Premier Development League Lansing United in the semifinal round of the competition, which is sponsored by the United Dairy Industry of Michigan.
The final semifinal pairings will be announced by next week.
The final will be played Wednesday, July 4, at Hope Soccer Complex's Champion Field.
