Heavy rains postpone LLWS play on Tuesday

Grosse Pointe Woods-Shores must wait a day to continue its run in the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

Due to heavy rains in the area and more on the way, the Little League International Tournament Committee announced the postponement of all games on Tuesday.

Game 22 between Grosse Pointe Woods-Shores and Southeast Regional champion Peachtree City, Georgia, will be played at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Lamade Stadium.

Woods-Shores is 2-1 in tournament play, winning its last game against the Midwest Regional champion Des Moines, Iowa, 5-4, Tuesday.
