West Bloomfield linebacker Wheeler commits to Michigan

Cornell Wheeler, a three-star linebacker from West Bloomfield High, has become Michigan's fifth commitment in the 2020 class.

Wheeler announced his commitment Tuesday via social media.  He is Michigan’s second in-state commitment, joining Belleville cornerback Andre Seldon.

Wheeler is the No. 13-ranked junior in Michigan and No. 15 inside linebacker nationally, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. The 6-foot-1, 220-pounder has an offer list that includes Minnesota, Indiana and Missouri, among others.
