Michigan assistant gymnastics coach resigns

Michigan assistant women's gymnastics coach Scott Vetere has resigned amid allegations of indecent public conduct.

“Mr. Vetere was immediately suspended the day we learned about the incident (Oct. 10),” said Kurt Svoboda, Michigan associate athletic director for external communication and public relations. “He resigned from his position Oct. 15 during the disciplinary review process.”

According to online records from Ann Arbor’s 15th District Court, the offense date was Oct. 8. He was arraigned on Oct. 19 and has a pre-trial hearing scheduled for Nov. 14.
