Pistons unveil new 'City Edition' uniforms

New York — The Pistons are going to have another wardrobe selection this season.

The team unveiled its new “Motor City” edition uniform from Nike on Thursday, which they’ll don for 18 games this season, starting Nov. 23 against the Houston Rockets at Little Caesars Arena.

The Detroit PIstons will wear new Nike "City Edition" uniforms for 18 games this season.

The new jersey is black with two vertical gray accent stripes, providing a racing-inspired look, with the words “Motor City” in white.

The City Edition series is geared toward unique signatures in each city, and the Pistons’ is an update to their previous version, which was a plainer dark blue with the same “Motor City” on the front.

The new uniforms will be available to fans Nov. 9 to buy online at and at Little Caesars Arena.

The Motor City jerseys will be worn on 18 dates — five home games and 13 road games. Here’s the schedule:
