Midfielder Danny Deakin supplied the pass that Milwaukee inadvertantly knocked into its own net in Detroit City FC's 1-0 victory Saturday.

An own goal in the 53rd minute was enough for Detroit City FC to escape Milwaukee with a 1-0 victory Saturday over the Torrent in National Premier Soccer League Members Cup play.

DCFC (3-0) remains unbeaten in the tournament, which continues next Saturday against New York Cosmos B at Keyworth Stadium. Kickoff is 7:30.

Detroit City lost midfielder Bakie Goodman to an apparent leg injury in midway in the first half. He limped off and was replaced in the 34th minute by Danny Deakin, who passed the ball along the goalmouth that was inadvertantly knocked in the net by a Milwaukee Torrent defender.

Milwaukee (1-1-2) was reduced to 10 players in the 73rd minute when Sebastian Ciaccheri received a straight red for what appeared to be dissent.

The referee issued four yellow cards to the home side while DCFC players were cautioned twice.

Le Rouge had two optimum scoring chances in the first half, which included defender Jalen Crisler heading off the post in the fifth minute on a corner from Cyrus Saydee. Tendai Jirira forced the Torrent goalkeeper to make a save off a dipping shot in the 21st minute.

Yazeed Matthews also had a goal waived off for offsides.
