Carl Roscoe passed for 239 yards and three touchdowns as Wayne State pummeled Walsh, 52-17, Saturday at Tom Adams Field in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference football game.

The Warriors (4-4, 3-4 GLIAC) racked up 521 yards offense (271 rushing, 250 passing) in snapping a three-game losing streak.

Michael Johnson had a 43-yard TD catch in second quarter and 46-yard scoring reception in the fourth. He finished with seven catches for 154 yards.

Desmond Martin rushed for 154 yards on 30 carries, including TD runs of 2 and 1 yards.

Jerald Robinson had TD catches of 17 and 11 yards for Walsh (2-6, 2-6).


Ferris State 37, (at) Michigan Tech 3: Jahaan Brown rushed for 150 yards on 15 carries, including TD runs 1 and 40 yards, to lead the unbeaten Bulldogs (8-0, 7-0 GLIAC). Quarterback Jason Vander Laan rushed 134 yards on 18 carries, including a 2-yard touchdown. Garrett Mead kicked a 31-yard field goal for the Huskies (6-1, 6-1).

Grand Valley State 42, (at) Findlay 36: Chris Robinson rushed for 261 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Lakers (4-4, 4-3). Robinson had TD dashes of 64, 22 and 44 yards while Jamie Potts also had scoring catches of 30 and 7 yards. Verlon Reed passed for 299 yards and two TDs to lead Findlay (4-4, 3-4).

(At) Tiffin 31, Hillsdale 24: A furious 21-point rally by Hillsdale (2-6, 2-5) in the fourth quarter wasn't enough to overtake the hosts. Trailing 31-3, Wade Wood scored on a 6-yard run. Jack Wiseman followed with a 3-yard TD run before John Haley connected with C.J. Mifsud on a 23-yard scoring strike with 1:01 left. Tiffin (5-3, 4-3) recovered the ensuing onside kick to end the comeback attempt.

(At) Ashland 44, Northern Michigan 14: Travis Tarnowski passed for 263 yards and five touchdowns to lead Ashland (7-1, 7-1). Terrence Dye scored on a 3-yard run and Tery Hipke had a 4-yard TD catch for Northern (2-6, 1-6).

(At) Saginaw Valley 16, Northwood 14: Scott Stanford kicked his third field goal of the game, a 24-yarder with 9:34 to play, to give Saginaw Valley (2-6, 2-5) the lead for keeps. Tyler Palka completed 13 of 17 passes for 182 yards and ran 37 yards for a touchdown for Saginaw Valley. Mark Morris completed 8 of 18 passes for 172 yards and a touchdown for Northwood (4-4, 3-4).


Hope 33, (at) Alma 7: Reggie Duncan scored on touchdown runs of 3 and 6 yards as Hope (5-2) built 26-7 halftime lead. Robert Kish was 14-of-22 for 168 yards, including a 23-yard TD strike to Matt Kroll. Erik Hines scored on a 54-yard pass from Tyler Watters for Alma (2-5).

(At) Olivet 30, Kalamazoo 14: A blocked punt by Javon Moore led to a touchdown and a 14-0 lead for Olivet (4-3), which also had 1-yard TD run from Braden Black. Kornelius Saxto caught a 3-yard strike from Black and Darmorria Lilly added a 5-yard for Olivet, which also had a safety. Alex White (1-yard run) and Dan Grost (28-yard catch) scored for Kalamazoo (1-6).

(At) Trine 51, Albion 45: Zach Brigham scored on 61-yard pass play from Dominic Bona with 3:25 left as Albion (4-3) mounted a comeback in an offensive shootout. The Britons got the ball back with 2:48 and marched to the Trine 37 in 11 plays before the clock ran out. Bona passed for 316 yards and three touchdowns. Joe Mayone had TD catches of 27 and 2 yards. Frank Vuocolo scored three TDs for Trine (5-2).

Wisconsin Lutheran 17, (at) Adrian 7: Travis Turnquist returned a blocked punt 11 yards for a touchdown and Matt Grams kicked a 33-yard field goal for Wisconsin Lutheran (4-3). Nathan Hartline scored on a 41-yard pass from Aaron Tenney for Adrian (5-2), which tied the game 7-7 in the third quarter.
