Alabama is the new No. 1 team in this week's Associated Press college football poll, jumping over unbeaten Florida State following a wild 55-44 triumph over Auburn in the Iron Bowl on Saturday night.

The Seminoles (12-0) survived four interceptions by Jameis Winston in a 24-19 win over Florida.

The Crimson Tide (11-1) are already No. 1 in the College Football Playoff rankings.

Michigan State (10-2), which defeated Penn State, improved three spots to No. 7.
