Ferris State junior quarterback Jason Vander Laan and Wayne State senior linebacker Nores Fradi were named to the Associated Press' Little All-America First Team, which recognizes top players from Division II, III and NAIA schools.

Ferris State senior offensive lineman Jake VanderKlok and Michigan Tech senior defensive lineman Nelson Wienke were named to the Second Team.

Vander Laan led Ferris State to its first Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Association title in 15 years this season. He led the nation among rushing QBs (1,466 yards), in passing efficiency (177.8) and points responsible for (300).

Fradi (Dearborn High) is first in Wayne State history — since the stat started being kept in 2002 — for quarterback hurries with 16. He finished second in career tackles for loss (43 solo, 17 assisted) and tied for third in sacks. His eight forced fumbles was one shy of the Ed Viverette's record nine.
