Detroit's Bass named top Horizon League freshman

Detroit's Paris Bass was named the Horizon League freshman of the year on Monday.

Bass (Birmingham Seaholm), a 6-foot-7 forward, is averaging 12.5 points and 5.8 rebounds for the Titans.

Oakland sophomore point guard Kahlil Felder was named to the all-conference first team after leading the league in assists (7.7). He is averaging 17.4 points per game and has 62 steals.

Detroit senior Juwan Howard Jr. and Oakland senior Corey Petros are on the second team.

Voting was conducted by league coaches, sports information directors and media members.
