Wayne State rallies to win GLIAC softball

Wayne State was trailing Saginaw Valley State, 9-2, in the fourth inning of the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference softball tournament final after having lost, 8-5, Sunday in Findlay, Ohio.

But the Warriors scored eight unanswered runs, including three in the bottom of the seventh, for a 10-9 victory and their fourth consecutive GLIAC title.

Allie Buchanan had three hits and two RBIs for Wayne State (41-18-1), which finds out today its opponent for the NCAA Division II Tournament, which begins Friday.
