Five-star prospect Josh Jackson, rated the No. 2 player overall in the nation by Scout.com for 2016, is considering Michigan State, along with Kansas, Louisville and Auburn, Yahoo's Marc Spears wrote on Twitter.
"Auburn coach Bruce Pearl grinding," Spears wrote.
Jackson, a 6-7, 185-pound small forward, is a Detroit native and played for Consortium High for two seasons before moving to California. He now plays for Prolific Prep Academy in Napa, California.
The schools listed by Spears doesn't necessarily mean those are favorites for Jackson, who has been very private about the recruiting process. In fact, Jackson recently told Steve Clark of Scout.com that he is also interested in Duke, UNLV and Maryland.
Most analysts consider Jackson a bona fide NBA prospect.
