Eastern guard Raven Lee suspended for violation of team rules

Eastern Michigan has suspended guard Raven Lee indefinitely for violation of team rules ahead of Friday's season-opener against Vermont.

Eastern's Raven Lee has been suspended indefinitely for violation of team rules, the school announced Friday.

"We hold our student-athletes to the highest of standards," coach Rob Murphy said. "Unfortunately, Raven failed to meet these standards. We expect that he will learn from this experience. We look forward to Raven's return."

Lee, a 6-foot-3 redshirt-junior guard led the Eagles in scoring last season with 16.7 points a game. The Detroit native was the second leading scorer in the Mid-American Conference a season ago, while he was recently named to the preseason All-MAC West Division Team last week.
