Michigan State maintained its No. 13 ranking in this week's Associated Press college basketball poll while Michigan improved one spot to No. 24.

The top eight were unchanged with North Carolina leading the way, followed by Kentucky and Maryland.

MSU (1-0) returns to action Tuesday against Kansas in Chicago. The Wolverines (1-0) were host to Elon on Monday night.
