Monday's roundup: Detroit routs Central State in home opener

Josh McFolley scored 17 to lead four players in double figures as Detroit won its season opener, 88-65, over Central State on Monday at Calihan Hall.

The victory was the 22nd straight home-opening win for UD, dating back to 1994. Carlton Brundidge had 14 points, Anton Wilson 13, including four 3-pointers, and Jaleel Hogan 10 for the Titans, who shot 54 percent from the field.

UD, which led 42-23 at halftime, forced the visitors into 17 turnovers. Gerald Blackshear had a game-high 10 rebounds as Detroit outrebounded Central State, 52-35.
