The Michigan State women’s basketball team is off to a 3-0 start and moving up in the national rankings.

The Spartans moved up three spots to No. 20 in this week’s Associated Press Top 25, released Monday, after a week in which it earned victories over Georgia (66-45) and Idaho State (79-60).

UConn (1-0) remains the country’s top-ranked team.

Michigan State is one of five Big Ten teams in the Top 25, led by Maryland (3-0) at No. 6. Also in the rankings are Ohio State (2-2) at No. 11, Northwestern (3-0) at No. 19, and Iowa (4-0) at No. 25.

Michigan State is in the Junkanoo Jam this weekend in the Bahamas, where it will take on Cincinnati on Friday and No. 5 Baylor on Saturday.
