Oakland’s Felder is Horizon League player of the year
Oakland junior point guard Kay Felder was selected the Horizon League player of the year in voting from coaches and media.Felder is fourth in the nation in scoring (24.4 points) and is leading the nation in assists (9.4). He’s the first Oakland player to win such an honor since Keith Benson was named Summit League player of the year in 2011.
Detroit sophomore Paris Bass also made the Horizon’s first team.
Oakland senior Max Hooper was named sixth man of the year. Jalen Hayes was a second-team all-league pick and Detroit’s Josh McFolley made the all-freshman team.
