Michigan, at No. 18, and Michigan State, breaking in at No. 25, are both ranked in Baseball America’s College Top 25 after going unbeaten the previous week.

UM (11-3) swept Hawaii in four games there by a combined score of 25-11.  Left-hander Brett Adcock earned Big Ten Pitcher of the Week honors for his career-high 12 strikeouts in seven innings in the Wolverines’ 5-4 victory over the Rainbow Warriors March 11.

The Wolverines open a three-game series against No. 22 Oklahoma State on Friday in Stillwater, Okla.

Variety has been the key in MSU’s cracking the top 25 as the Spartans (13-1) have played 14 different opponents.

MSU went 5-0 with wins over Illinois State (15-0), Florida Gulf Coast (7-6), Butler (9-2). St. Joseph’s (8-7) and North Dakota State (9-5).

Dan Durkin, Matt Byars and Justin Hovis combined to go 10-for-14 with seven runs scored and five RBIs in the Spartans' victory over North Dakota State Sunday in Port Charlotte, Fla., to close spring break.

MSU starts a three-game series at South Florida on Friday.
