Alaska-Anchorage jumped out to a 19-12 lead after the first quarter and never looked back on its way to a 67-47 victory over Grand Valley State in a women’s Division II national semifinal game at Sioux Falls, South Dakota, on Wednesday.

Alaska-Anchorage (38-2) stretched its lead to 37-21 by halftime and 54-33 at the end of the third quarter.

Jessica Madison scored 14 and Alysha Devine and Megan Mullings scored 12 each for Alaska-Anchorage, which will face Lubbock Christian for the national title on April 4.

Taylor Parmley scored 13 and Piper Tucker and Lindsay Baker nine each for Grand Valley (25-10).

State men

Western Oregon 81, Saginaw Valley 68: Western Oregon (30-3) ended Saginaw Valley’s season in a national Division II quarterfinal game at Frisco, Texas. Andy Avgi scored 20 and Julian Nichols 17 for Western Oregon. Garrett Hall and Kellen Smith each scored 15 for Saginaw Valley (25-7).
