Felder’s triple-double puts Oakland in Vegas final

Kay Felder had 29 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists, and Max Hooper came off the bench to make eight 3-pointers and finish with 28 points as Oakland (23-11) scored 65 points after halftime and defeated East Tennessee State 104-81 to earn a spot in the finals of the inaugural Vegas 16 tournament in Las Vegas.

Percy Gibson scored 15 and Martez Walker 10 for Oakland, which led by just 39-37 at the half.

Ge’Lawn Guyn scored 16 to lead East Tennessee State (24-12).

Oakland will face Old Dominion (24-13), a 64-49 victor over UC-Santa Barbara, in tonight’s final at 10 p.m.
