Former Hoosier: Bob Knight physically abused players
Former Indiana Hoosiers basketball player Todd Jadlow has written a book, “Jadlow: On the Rebound” which alleges emotional and physical abuse given by former Hoosiers coach Bob Knight.
According to Bob Kravitz of WTHR.com, Jadlow’s book alleges that Knight “made a habit, with Jadlow and others, of grabbing players by the testicles and squeezing.”
Jadlow, who played at Indiana from 1985-89, said Knight punched him in the head, , according to Andy Katz of ESPN.com.
Knight was fired from Indiana in September of 2000 by university president Myles Brand for his behavior.
Jadlow has a troubled past that includes drug use and a near suicide attempt, according to Kravitz, who said the book also alleges that Knight grabbed Daryl Thomas by the neck on a flight after a 1986 NCAA Tournament loss to Cleveland State.
Jadlow told Katz that he wrote the book to be honest and didn’t intend to demean Knight.
“I didn’t do this to tarnish him,” Jadlow said to ESPN.com.
