Michigan State and Michigan both fell out of this week’s Associated Press college basketball poll, released Monday.

Michigan State (4-3) had been ranked No. 24 and Michigan (5-1) was tied for No. 25.

The Spartans return to action Tuesday at Duke at 9:30 p.m. in the Big Ten / ACC Challenge.

The Wolverines are host to Virginia Tech on Wednesday at 7 p.m., also in the Big Ten / ACC Challenge.

Kentucky and Villanova remain the top two teams in the poll, and Baylor made the week’s biggest jump, from No. 20 to ninth.

Kentucky (6-0) received 40 first-place votes from the 65-member national media panel while Villanova was No. 1 on 20 ballots.
