Katelynn Flaherty scored 27 and the Michigan women’s basketball team beat Nebraska, 84-51, on Sunday in Lincoln.

It was the Wolverines’ first victory over the Cornhuskers since the 2011-12 season, ending a five-game losing streak.

Nicole Munger scored 17 and Kysre Gondrezick 13 for the Wolverines (16-5, 5-2 Big Ten).

Michigan allowed just six points in the final period and forced 22 Husker turnovers..

Nebraska is 5-15, 1-7.

Purdue 76, (at) Michigan State 66: Tori Jankoska scored 16 and Branndais Agee 15 for the Spartans (13-7, 3-4 Big Ten), who lost their third straight.

Assistant coach Amaka Agugua continues to fill in for coach Suzy Merchant, who is on a medical leave of absence.

(At) Oakland 80, Youngstown State 54: Hannah Little had 19 points and 19 rebounds for Oakland (10-9, 4-4 Horizon). Leah Summerfield had 15 points and 10 rebounds and Sha’Keya Graves scored 15.

(At) Detroit Mercy 66, Cleveland State 54: Brianne Cohen scored 24 for the Titans (10-9, 6-2 Horizon). Nicole Urbanick scored 12, Rosanna Reynolds 11 and Halrigh Ristovski had 13 rebounds.

State men

(At) Northern Kentucky 101, Detroit Mercy 87: Chris Jenkins scored 20 and Josh McFolley added 16 for the Titans (4-16, 2-6 Horizon).

Mason Faulkner scored 29 and Drew McDonald 21 for Northern Kentucky (13-8, 4-4). Faulkner scored nine points amid an 11-0 run to give Northern Kentucky a 55-42 lead.

(At) Wright State 88, Oakland 67: Martez Walker scored 14 and Nick Daniels 10 for Oakland (15-6, 5-3 Horizon), which has lost three of its last four games.

Big Ten men

Northwestern 74, (at) Ohio State 72: Scottie Lindsey scored 21, Bryant McIntosh 17 and Northwestern won at Ohio State for the first time since 1977. Northwestern (16-4, 5-2) won its third straight.

Jae’Sean Tate led Ohio State (12-8, 2-5) with 14 points.

(At) No. 22 Xavier 86, Georgetown 75: Edmond Sumner scored 28 for Xavier, (14-5, 4-3 Big East), which snapped a three-game skid.
