USC’s Sam Darnold is new Heisman favorite

Southern Cal quarterback Sam Darnold is the new favorite to win the 2017 Heisman Trophy, with 4-1 odds, according to Bovada.
Darnold’s odds have improved since the beginning of the year, when he was listed at 9-1. The favorite then was Ohio State QB J.T. Barrett.
Louisville QB Lamar Jackson and Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield are tied with the second-best odds at 13-2.
Darnold completed 246-of-366 passes for 3,086 yards last season, with 31 TD and nine interceptions.
Michigan QB Wilton Speight was given 75-1 odds by William Hill last week. Twenty-four players had better odds than Speight.
