Wayne State was eliminated from the NCAA Division II baseball tournament with an 8-5 loss to Quincy in Midland, Michigan, on Sunday.
The Warriors (34-21) carried a 5-3 lead into the ninth inning but Quincy erupted for five runs in its final at-bats.
JT Conti hit a pair of solo home runs, and Brad Baldwin, Tristen Jorah and Justin Sherman each drove in a run for the Warriors.
Wayne State earlier had beaten Kentucky Wesleyan, 4-3, behind Tyler Waldrop's two-hitter and Justin Kelly's two home runs.
Quincy faces Northwood on Monday. Northwood needs one victory to win the regional, while Quincy needs two.
