Carlie Wagner scored 26 points and Minnesota outscored No. 23 Michigan 11-4 in the final three minutes for a 93-87 win Wednesday night.

Katelynn Flaherty’s 3-pointer gave the Wolverines an 83-82 lead with five minutes left but they missed their next three shots while Gadiva Hubbard sandwiched two baskets around a Kehinde Bello bucket for the Gophers. After Nicole Munger ended the four-minute drought the Gophers made 5 of 6 free throws in the final 31 seconds.

Hubbard finished with 17 points and seven assists for Minnesota (20-6, 9-4 Big Ten), which reached 20 wins for the 13th time, three times in four years under coach Marlene Stollings. Kenisha Bell had 16 points, Destiny Pitts 10 points and 13 rebounds.

Flaherty had 26 points for the Wolverines (20-8, 9-6), who have lost two straight and four of five, none to ranked teams. Akienreh Johnson added a career-high 19.

Nebraska 79, (at) Michigan State 69: Hannah Whitish and Nicea Eliely each had 17 points to lead the Cornhuskers (19-7, 10-3 Big Ten) Jenna Allen scored 19 and Shay Colley 15 for the Spartans (15-12, 5-9).

(At) Eastern Michigan 73, Ohio 58: Danielle Minott scored 24, Sasha Dailey added 19 and Courtnie Lewis 14 for the Eagles (10-14, 6-7 Mid-American).

(At) Buffalo 85, Central Michigan 82: Reyna Frost finished with 23 points and 16 rebounds as the Chippewas (20-4, 12-1 MAC) suffered their first conference defeat in 12 outings.

State men

(At) Youngstown State 75, Oakland 73: Garrett Covington’s putback spun through the hoop as the horn sounded to hand the home team the victory.. Jalen Hayes led Oakland (16-11, 8-6 Horizon) with 19 points, Nunn added 18. The Golden Grizzlies lost guard Martez Walker for the season earlier in the day to a broken left foot.

(At) Cleveland State 75, Detroit Mercy 72: Roschon Prince scored 22 points with nine rebounds, Cole Long added 16 points and Kameron Chatmon 14 for the Titans (7-20, 3-11), who have lost seven of their last eight.

Big Ten

(At) Indiana 78, Illinois 68: Juwan Morgan was one of three Indiana players to score 14 points as the Hoosiers (15-12, 8-7 Big Ten) have won three straight since snapping a four-game losing streak. Morgan also had 10 rebounds, a career-high five blocks, four steals and three assists. Leron Black finished with 20 points to lead the Fighting Illini (12-15, 2-12), which has lost four in a row and 10 of 12.

(At) Providence 76, No. 3 Villanova 71: Kyron Cartwright scored 17 points and Providence (17-9, 8-5 Big East) withstood several late surges to stun third-ranked Villanova. Mikal Bridges had 19 points for Villanova (23-3, 10-3). pulled within 59-54 on a pair of free throws by Omari Spellman with 6:25 left. But the Friars outscored the Wildcats 8-4 over the next two minutes to push the lead back to 67-58.

(At) No. 4 Xavier 102, Seton Hall 90: Trevon Bluiett followed his worst shooting performance of the season with a 37-point effort, and Xavier (24-3, 12-2) held on to securing first place in the Big East.

(At) No. 10 Auburn 76, Kentucky 66: Bryce Brown returned from a shoulder injury to score 18 points and make four 3-pointers in leading Auburn(23-3, 11-2 Southeastern Conference).

(At) Florida State 81, No. 11 Clemson 79: Phil Cofer scored 17 points, Trent Forrest added 16 and Florida State (18-8, 7-7 Atlantic Coast Conference) rallied from an 18-point deficit in the second half.

(At) No. 12 Duke 74, Virginia Tech 52: Grayson Allen scored 25 points and matched a career high with seven 3-pointers as Duke (21-5, 9-4 ACC) won without freshman star Marvin Bagley III.
