ESPN basketball expert Jay Bilas predicts that Michigan State and Michigan will make the Final Four, with the Spartans prevailing in the national championship game over Virginia.

“I chose Michigan State before the season started,” Bilas wrote. “I am staying with that decision.”

Bilas says Michigan will lose to Virginia in the West vs. South semifinal with MSU defeating Villanova in the Midwest vs. East semifinal.

Bilas on the No. 1-seed Wolverines vs. the No. 1-seed Cavaliers: “The question is whether the Michigan defense can handle the Virginia offense. As well as Michigan has played, I favor Virginia to defend its way to the title game.”
